Reading Counts Rules Posted On: 12/10/2014 The Media Committee has adopted these rules for Reading Counts Testing:
· Students will take tests on books in their reading level or Lexile range. A test is considered having a passing score if 80% or above on their level. · Books are only to be used to look up a test, and to find the author’s name if needed. Exception: Special Education students. Lower grades (K-2) may have the questions and answers read aloud to them. · Tests will only be deleted if the wrong book was selected, or if a student was using a book to look up answers. · Goals will be updated each term by the teachers to appropriately challenge students. Students who meet or exceed their goals will earn a prize!
